Matching relationship between lining properties and fabric properties

The matching between the performance of interlining and the performance of fabric is an important factor in the selection of interlining. The physical properties of the fabric, including the thickness, elasticity, drapability and heat resistance of the fabric, are closely related to the ironing of the lining.

(1) the relationship between the thickness of the fabric and the thickness of the lining is in direct proportion. The fabric of autumn and winter clothing is relatively thick, and the lining is also relatively thick, mainly spinning lining. On the contrary, the fabric of spring and summer clothing is relatively thin, and the lining is relatively thin.

(2) The relationship between fabric elasticity and lining elasticity is also proportional. Elastic lining shall be selected for elastic fabric, and lining with tensile degree shall be selected for fabric with tensile degree, so as to maintain the original characteristics of the fabric.

(3) The connection between fabric drape and interlining is mainly reflected in the soft and elegant clothing modeling. Interlining is relatively soft and light, and oblique yarn interlining can also be selected. Rigid and thick interlining is selected for exaggerated and geometric contour clothing modeling.

(4) The relationship between the heat resistance of the fabric and the ironing temperature of the lining is mainly that the lining with high ironing temperature (i.e. high temperature lining) is selected for the fabric with strong heat resistance, on the contrary, the lining with low ironing temperature (i.e. low temperature lining) is selected for the fabric with low heat resistance. Accordingly, properly adjust the pressure and ironing time required for lining ironing according to the fabric.
